Men and Women

Welcome to the wonderful world o Typography!
Or at least the projects I made for my typography class. Two different assignments for two different genders, or at least that's how they seem to me. An Esquire 'how to be a man' layout and then a flier for the 'White Lotus' yoga school. I know yoga isn't just for women but, hey, it seems like one of those, more for women things.

Anyways, here is our project: 'To create a layout for the How to be a Man section of the famous Esquire magazine, which is of course, a rag all for men, classy and hip, and slick refined men. Men around the ages of 18 and older, so I bought one, looked through it and found a pattern of certain designs of theirs and made mine fitting enough that they might actually consider using it, and what's more manly than the Old West. With a simple design and straight to the point, this magazine helps men learn the things they should know, and my design will help them actually read and follow it....hopefully.

A lighter than air, body renewing, spirit enlightening school to practice yoga at all levels with meditation, tantra, the Indian, Buddhist zen knowledge of strengthening the body and mind with poses and exercise. If only this school really existed... it was just another project from my typography teacher, to make a flier for a made up school of yoga. After a good deal of research as to what exactly yoga is, I made this layout, light colors, chakra symbols, a few poses and images of how relaxing it all can be, after the pretzel you bent yourself into becomes un-knotted.
